How do you select or turn subtitles on/off, with the skybox or some setting
on your tv remote? My guess is the subtitles are part of the digital sat
stream, and you select them/toggle them through the skybox remote control,
and then the only thing you can record with a dvd recorder is the
teletext(or possibly digital text) if my assumptions are correct...

Have you ever look at the structure of a dvd on your PC? You'd see that the
structure of the dvd in its main files called vob's can contain multiple
audio streams, multiple video streams, and multiple subtitle streams, as
well as containing CC(teletext) in teh main video stream. AFAIK, there is
no way to record this from a sat feed, unless you have a special skybox
DVR/DVD recorder that might possibly preserve the subtitle streams in a
recorded program....I dont think we have the ability to do it here in the US
with either of our main sat providers, Directv, and Dish Network....which
are both digital sat providers here in the US, similar to SKY from what I
understand...
