Hi Nick,

Thanks for your reply. I followed your instructions, and here are the
results.

Version: 1.61
SysCon: Release_146
TUFLCON: 1.22M
Drive: 1.16E
Device: PRISM-PLUS
Region: 1

As you can see I have a later version then yours. So, 16X probably does not
work on yours either.

Like you, all 8X and 4x Discs I have used work perfect. I have used 1X, 2X,
4X, 8X and 16X, discs. All work correct except the new 16X products, which
copy only at the 4X default speed.

Since I can't buy 8X discs anymore here in MPLS, the problem has been forced
on me. When I called Pioneer and talked to Mike, he denied there was a
problem. Then he admitted there was one during the second call, and
suggested I only buy 8X discs. Then the third call where I explained I can't
get 8X discs anymore, he suggest to buy 8X on the internet. However if the
vendors like Fuji use the same UPC as the 8X for the new 16X, there is no way
for the store to check their inventory for 8X discs. The same applies to
internet purchases. So, the only solution is a firmware update.

call Mike @ 1-800-872-4159 and force the issue onto Pioneers priority list.
Otherwise it will be FORGETTEN!
