I don't think this was a real "release".... I think it was one of
those cheesy 80's soundtrack songs from some forgettable B-movie. The
sound quality resembles that of a TV speaker recorded by a condenser
mic, and the fast fade at the end sounds like the kind of dropout that
would occur when the final credits rolled. That cassette squeal is
awful... what brand is the tape, Pay'n'Save???
Almost every movie produced in the 80's seemed to have at least one
song like this -- usually playing over the end credits, performed by
no-name talent and recorded on the cheap using a drum machine, one
keyboard, and some overdubbed coked-up chick who thought she was going
to be the next Pat Benatar. Since her heart was "on fire" in the
song, I'd guess it was a flick about young love -- or possibly a
sports movie?
I know, that helps not in the slightest. I hope you enjoyed my
