I reckon you're going to end up paying �50-100 whatever he does - so you
might as well have him wire up that spare ariel properly and run the cable
through the wall into a nice, shiny new socket. If you do without the
socket, these guys take mere seconds to drill holes to feed the cable
through the wall properly - and that's got to be better than opening the
window every time you want to use it.
