I'm just interested in playing DVD's and VHS tapes -- and occasionally
recording to VHS off my cable box.

I'd prefer an established name brand but have had bad luck with Sony.

Panasonic?

Toshiba?

Anyone have experience with their latest DVD/VCR Combo Players?
