Being 75 years old also helps. You won't be able to tell the difference
between 128kb/s and 48kb/s VBR. I used to use wma at 64kb/s CBR, but with
wma9, I now use VBR, quality 10 or 25, which saves enormous amounts of space
without apparent degradation of the final product. I re-did my Chopin
folder using WMA9, quality 10. The files are now compressed to about 53:1
and they are indistinguishable from 64kb/s CBR, not only by me, but by
several people with better hearing than mine.
