Yes, I read that. But, had totally forgotten about it. That is probably
one of my mistakes. Thanks for the reminder.

You are correct, I've been using the TIMER REC function. It is easily
set. I have one other question. How do I eliminate this EPG MODE ?
My understanding is when the EPG is displayed, the TV GUIDE is downloading
new data for the GUIDE LISTING. I have the SETTINGS to indicate NO
ANTENNA and NO CABLE is selected. I'm not attempting to use the
receiver in the 633 at all. When I power the 633 OFF, the EPG display
comes on. While this display is on the HDD appears to remain on and
spinning. I went back through the initialization setup and the TV GUIDE
setup to hopefully stop this download process but no success at this point.
The manual does no make much mention of this EPG display.
You experience and thoughts please ?
