I was in the Service Menu of Sony DVP-NS50P to see if I could adjust the video output level of the DVD player. I saw a menu item named "Video Level Adjust". However, once I went into that menu item, I was not able to do anything further. None of the shown sub-options could be invoked. Is there a special code or trick that is required to actually make adjustments? What I am trying to do is to increase the brightness and the contrast of the component output a bit, because the picture is too dark overall.
