I'm considering buying a DVD recorder and I'm wondering what the
difference is between "DVD-RW" and "DVD+RW". The only difference I can
find on GOOGLE is, the "+" "might" allow for edited recording.

If that's the case, how much editing does it allow for? I'm just trying
to find something to replace a VCR with. So the closer to being able to
perform like a VCR (feature wise) the better.

Recommendations?

Not looking to spend a bunch of $, as it's only purpose will be to
record daily programs and not as the feature DVD player in my HT
system.

Also, don't want a DVD-VCR combo, as I have an older Mitsubishi VCR for
viewing VHS tapes.
