You've got to be kidding me... Arsenio Hall?

I think Arsenio is a classic example of a manic black comic, and I
think I found him funny because he was Eddie Murphy's protege (and plus
I was 13). There's a common misconception that Arsenio almost kicked
Johnny Carson off of the _Tonight Show_, but I heard Arsenio never beat
him once in ratings.

The thing about Arsenio is that he's so identified as "the black guy
who used to have his own show during the 90's", and I don't think TV
execs are willing to put him back on again....
