Six hours on one DVD? Wow, that's pretty poor quality you're going for.

Yes, use a program like TMPGEnc Tsunami DVD Author Pro, but it does
depend on whether you recorded the disc in Video mode or VR mode. I've
found my PC won't read VR mode discs at all, but will happily read Video
mode discs provided they've been finalised.
