I use Panasonic brand dvd-ram disks on my Panasonic DMR. Out
of the box most of the ram disks have a capacity of 4:00 hours
in the LP mode. However, some of the disks have 4:14 which
is much more useful when recording movies which usually
fill a 2 hour time slot and run over a minute or so.
I found that if the Panasonic blanks are formatted in a Toshiba
recorder the can be made to have the extra 14 minutes, while
the Panasonic recorder always formats to exactly 4 hours.
