<1% of what readers? I would guess that a lot more than 1% of people here
would already have or be willing to consider buying the right equipment if
and when the software becomes available.

The same ratio of people in the broader population probably had
scart-enabled tellies back when dvd came out too.

And who's to say that everyone who will have the equipment will be the only
ones interested in hearing about it? And why should a lack of users make for
less of a reason that this place will 'pick up a bit'? This place was never
so exciting as it was in the early days of dvd.

....And are you the Kim that invented laserdiscs and cds and so much more? I
seem to recall you predicting the imminent death of dvd back around 1998.
