No, it's not a camera problem. This is from a full-spec DSR500-series,
and we've never had it happen before on a production. I'm inclined to
think that the output preferences of the NLE have 'slipped' a bit, and
it's copied something to tape that's 'illegal'. Unfortunately my
colleague's NLE is 25 miles away, and he's not the sort of guy to
welcome me poking about in his kit to see what's what. I just asked on
this occasion in case someone could come up with a suggestion that we
could then investigate specifically within the NLE.

What a useful site Adam Wilt's is -- I shall be visiting it in more
detail.
