Are you talking about a piece of computer hardware--or a stand alone
recorder?

If the former, I've had excellent luck with the LG 4163. I imagine there's
a newer unit on the market now, but this one has never failed me.

If you're talking about a stand-alone recorder to record from TV, I have no
recommendation.
