Assumed what? I corrected a couple of misstatements of law, that's all.

"Simple plagiarism" isn't against the law, and doesn't result in liability.
Copyright infringement is against the law, and can result in significant
liability. Churches can and have been sued for infringement before.
Attribution doesn't mitigate either damages or liability, and only serves as
an admission of intentional infringement.
