In the countries where you can buy them, the Vinten Pro 5 is excellent
for this size of camera. I think there may be an extremely similar
Manfrotto in the USA and others.

Expensive? Depends on where you're standing. The DSR400 is a serious
camera, and needs a reasonably solid tripod, and those at the level of
the Pro 5 are very cheap for this sort of thing.
