Both I and a colleague have Rycote Softie 'Dougals' for the Sony
ECM-NV1 that comes with the PD150 camera, and aren't wonderfully
impressed. There is still a lot of wind noise -- mostly bass runble so
you may be able to EQ it out, but not what we expected from a Rycote
product.

On the other hand, I have a full 'Dougal' for the basket on my
Sennheiser gun mic, and never cease to be amazed by the effectiveness
of it, having got clean sound in a raging gale. However, that IS over
a basket, so that may be the key.
