It appears to me that there will be a HUGE manufacturer's push to replace
DVD with Blu-Ray. Sony is insanely maniacal about forcing their braind of
"copy protection" on everyone (see
http://blogs.washingtonpost.com/securityfix/2005/11/sony_raids_hack.html)
and Blu-Ray players are supposed to need an internet connection so that Big
Brother Sony can check to see if you have the right to play each and every
Blu-Ray disc.
This business with Sony audio CDs ruining PCs just goes to show that they
don't care what they do to the consumer.
