None of this witty banter changes the fact that by canceling you are
voiding your contract, not Netflix. (or HBO)
They are under no obligation to fulfill their side of the contract
other than doing anything they list in their terms of service/contract.

I canceled a Playboy subscription once and received 2 more years
afterwards. They were under no obligation to do so. It was only their
"good will" that enabled me to see the babes for two more years. (turns
out it was a marketing gimmick)

That still does not mean that Netflix has to supply me with disks for
the remainder of the month. I canceled, they complied. Any lost
"service" is MY doing, not theirs.
