With all due respect, are you sure that's true spodosaurus? Or is that just
an assumption? Before they changed their copyright laws to correspond with
the EU norm, Italy's copyright laws were very different from ours. You could
still buy the resulting italian LPs here on import though, let alone bring
them back with you if you went there.

I think this area of the law is more complicated than you assert.
