LOL, in Europe the music scene is much more international than what
Americans are used to.

The current chart topper is an Italian, with lots of Americans on the
top 40 list. The majority of these people are probably signed with large
multi-national corporations. During this whole copyright debate currently
going on in France their government has made motions like they were willing
to shoot their own music industry in the foot, but so far they've been
unwilling to pull the trigger.
