Yes, I think so. I haven't actually been formally approached, just
 sounded-out by a mutual friend.

The friend said the club need someone to maintain (not operate) their
equipment. Their contract with the design-install firm is up, and they
don't want to re-up it. They are looking for a tech to repair and
maintain as -needed. Specifically mentioned were: Re-checking audio
connections and levels (something clips, somewhere) and video levels
(they probably have a double termination, causing the centerfield
screen to be dim. I bet they split it with a T-connector, a no-no. A
 VDA will sort that out.)

 I have a similar on-call, as-needed relationship with a radio station
and two television stations, beyond my engineering reponsibilities at
my two regular jobs. It's really simple stuff that anybody out here
could handle, but most of these places don't have anyone with
engineering skills on their staffs. I rather enjoy being the go-to-guy
 on this stuff.

Operator? No. Designer? Not really. Maintainer? Yes. It DOES sound like
a fun gig, and I can probably wangle free seats and food. Why not? I'm
now leaning toward $50. per hour plus perks, based on comments in this
 group. Thanks!
