I am using Auto Gordian Knot with the latest XviD codec. I am also
using "one pass" which is the one with the percentage resolution. I
have gotten 42-minute commercial free TV programs down to about 25%
before the resolution craps out. That's a file size around 175 MB. I
usually get the 350 MB files from torrents and the (50%) resolution is
just fine for my 19" viewscreens (monitor and TV). I also have WinAvi
which also does a good job on Avi/XviDs.
