Oh, heavens no. A Gatling gun only has 6 (or maybe 8 or whatever) barrels,
around the hexagon (octagon, etc). I've seen the modern version - the
M-something or other, cal .50 machine gun that shoots 10 rounds a second.
It mounts in a pod, on the belly of a fighter plane. It's "blast cooled":
i.e., if you shoot it off when the airplain isn't going like 400 MPH, it
melts. (like on the parking apron. It also makes whatever was in front of
the airplane disappear.) It doesn't have a hammer - the rounds are fired
electrically.
