I'm in the process of helping my church aquire a Video Toaster setup.
I've been to a couple of vendors in our city. I live in a large metro
area, and I found a couple of NewTek recommended vendors. They both
helped with information and demos, and both offer very similarly priced
solutions where they build a PC and setup the VT.

In pricing them out, I find that they are both over-charging for the PC
component, and by going to Dell I can get a much better workstation
class machine for several thousand less. In addition, they each only
offer a one year warantee on the setup, while Dell offers a 3 year on
site (which I know from experience is very good).

I'm quite capable of installing the VT setup myself.

What's the right way to go here? Are the VT setups reliable once
installed and configured? Do I really need a relationship with a local
vendor?

Looking for informed opinions - no trolls please....pretty please...
