You need to say "So really your delusion of grandeur (seems) unfounded"
since you havn't create a standard and examples that conform or deviate from
it, about gathering and quoting other sources in non-fiction prose. Even
then its probably the case that the standard of what constitutes valid
quotations would be just a good or bad theory.
