I think you have to get one that plays Divx, these are just flavors of
AVI's. At least with my Phillips player I encode my video as DIVX and it has
an AVI extension. You then burn it to DVD as you would a computer data disc
and it plays them on the player.
Though to be honest it seems that these discs or at least the video format
don't do well. I have a lot of playback issues with them. They seem to play
fine for a few months and then slowly there is major playback issues.
