I have a Philips DVP 642 that plays just about every type of format i
throw at it. However, the remote control just died - replacing the
batteries doesn't work, nor does the "press every button" trick.
Without a remote, the player is worthless as I cannot navigate through
menus.
I Googled around for a replacement remote - one place wanted $50 (!)

Does anyone out there have any suggestions for a good place to buy one
of these remotes?
