Today, DVD Verdict posted reviews of ACTING OUT, GARBAGE PAIL KIDS:
THE COMPLETE SERIES, KELLY PETERS: MAKE IT HAPPEN: HIP HOP, THE LONG
GOOD FRIDAY, NAKED WORLD, SEVEN BEAUTIES: DIGITALLY REMASTERED
EDITION, and THE TAKE:
ACTING OUT (reviewed by David Johnson, overall score 57/100):
"Hoo-boy, this one is a doozy. Troma has certainly outdone itself
with this release. Where they found this film, I have no clue, but
I'm willing to bet they had to make it past a padlock and a Doberman
to get it."

GARBAGE PAIL KIDS: THE COMPLETE SERIES (reviewed by Brett Cullum,
overall score 80/100):
"The Garbage Pail Kids are obviously a special sort of trash -- the kind
that won't burn."

KELLY PETERS: MAKE IT HAPPEN: HIP HOP (reviewed by David Johnson,
overall score 90/100):
"If you're a) a novice, b) the most uncoordinated, self-conscious loser
on the planet, or c) 85 years old, you should benefit mightily from
this DVD."

THE LONG GOOD FRIDAY (reviewed by George Hatch, overall score 98/100):
"The film's violent moments are as shocking today as they were over 25
years ago. It's not only the amounts of blood; it's the random
unpredictability. The fact that the story is character-driven makes the
violence all the more palpable and disturbing."

NAKED WORLD (reviewed by Rob Lineberger, overall score 88/100):
"Naked World has slow spots, such as an overlong sequence of gloomy
foreshadowing before Tunick and his associates land on Antarctica, but
in general it sells the vibe of what the 'Nude Adrift' project means for
artist, subjects, museum curators, and people on the street."

SEVEN BEAUTIES: DIGITALLY REMASTERED EDITION (reviewed by Brett Cullum,
overall score 85/100):
"This is no simple sex farce, but rather a story of a man without any
dignity thrown into a bottomless pit of debasement. And yet it sounds
completely unappealing on those terms, when in reality early parts of
the movie are comedic and charming. It's a disarming mix of slapstick
mixed with sadism, and that sets it apart from anything I've ever seen."

THE TAKE (reviewed by Adam Arseneau, overall score 92/100):
"The Take chronicles the story of a unique phenomena emerging from a
nation desperate to rebuild its infrastructure. Unemployed workers
forced onto the street after their factories declared bankruptcy are
taking it upon themselves to reopen the factories, occupy them by force,
and start up the machines again, running the factory in a cooperative
effort between all the employees."
