It is going to depend somewhat on what you record. If it is
action/adventure with lots of motion, I would use the 1 or 2 hour mode.
On the other hand, I sometimes transfer recorded lectures for a group I
wotk with. The images will be talking heads and slide stills and 4 to 6
hours on a disk looks just fine, but if the speaker started jumping
around that mode wouldn't be as good.
