"Digital cable" only means the programming is transmitted to your cable box
as digitally-encoded data. The cable box has analog outputs just like your
current box. You can use those to connect the LVW-5005.
TV sets still have analog inputs, so ditto for connecting the LVW-5005 on
a newer set.
