The funny thing about Sony is that they always seem to target the
quality market - which is why Sony products have a reputation for good
quality but are generally more expensive than similar products. They
must be doing some things right, however, since they're still one of
the top, if not the top, consumer brands out there.
Recently, companies like Samsung and Panasonia have stolen share from
Sony by providing chepaer, but still viable alternatives.
The funny thing about Blu-ray? It has all 3 companies "in the sack", so
to speak, with all 3 in the Blu-ray camp. That's another reason why I
think Toshiba is in trouble.
