Yes. I have done it. It is easier than you think. Can we assume
that you have the "scratch" sound from each of the each of the
camcorders? If so, it is easy to line up each of the camera
tracks against the master audio track by looking at the wave-
forms on the timeline and listening to the combination of the
master sound track and the sound track of the camera you are
aligning.
