But no where near that much when compared to HD-DVD which is what it has to
win against.

For computers I think HD-DVD or Blue-Ray will do well. Finally a fairly
feasible way to back up a 200GB hard drive.

For entertainment they are both going to have to really wow people and from
what I have seen and read given the cost of the players and the expected
costs of the movies they aren't even coming close in that regard.

DVD had a lot of special features too like multiple angles and such that
hardly anyone made use of. I suspect the same thing will happen with HD-DVD
and Blue-Ray. The studios want to get stuff out as quickly and as cheaply as
possible and creating all of the "special features" that uses the format to
the fullest just isn't going to happen. Not unless they plan to charge $100
for the movie.

It is a bad enough that as of late studios have been putting out single disc
editions of movies like King Kong, Narnia, etc. that sell for the $14.99 to
$20 range and then have a two disc special edition that sells for almost $30
and this is given that most two disc special editions used to be $14.99 to
$20 when they were released. Hollywood is already starting to show their
greedy side just like the recording industry.
