Any blu-ray device that runs Java apps will need to have storage (HD),
if only to store the apps. I believe I've heard that Java apps will
also be able to add data to the discs themselves.

Uh....duh. You want all these 3rd party companies to give away their
hard work for free? what are they? google?

will decide whether to charge for it or not. It's a capitalist society,

Toshiba's HD-DVD does NOT run Java. It will be a REAL ONE-TRICK PONY.
