The Java apps require storage to even run. It will have to store data
(such as subtitles, its state, etc) somewhere. That will be either in
the player or the BD-ROM itself.

no, i work as a programmer so i'm entitled to talking about my own
work. the fact you even say the words "fetish" for something as
technical and dry as these topics points to someone who needs a shrink
NOW.

all i'm telling you is that, unlike Toshiba's HDDVD, Blu-ray will allow
much greater interactivity between users and DVDs. end of story.

btw, what's with your anti-sony fetish? i neither like nor dislike sony
- it seems to be you anti-sony guys who bring the name up all the time.
