Dude, you're too caught up in the blu-ray hpye. Look around,
there's more to life.

I don't want to disappoint you but Java is NOT running on the
blu-ray. The fact is that blu-ray is an optical storage media,
nothing more. It still needs a PLAYER to do all of the things
you're touting it can do. There is no magic here. ANYTHING that
can be done on blu-ray could be done on another format.

You might look at the HD-DVD spec also. A quote from the specs:
"At the discretion of the Content owner, additional business
streams can be created, with Service Providers offering
Premium content, synchronized language and subtitle options, and
offer other transactional and business links over the Internet."

Hmmm, something you said it couldn't do. Sounds amazingly like
blu-ray to me.

The entire argument is whose format will consumers settle on,
hopefully it will be HD-DVD.

We can argue till the end of time about the merits of Sony
products, some of which are very good, others not. The fact is I
can't think of a single product that Sony manufactures that I
can't find in an aternative brand of equal or better quality.
Sometimes it will cost me more, sometimes less. But I've been
treated like shit by their customer service more than once and
will not give them the opportunity again.

You're welcome to have the last word...
