In one night, when PS3 is released, there will only be one format with an
advantage. That format will have 10 times the number of players to market
as compared to the competition. If the $500 & $800 HD-DVD players continue
to remain significantly less expensive than ALL Blu-ray products, then
HD-DVD may have a chance... maybe. But, with far more studio support, more
actual movies available... and with more players in people's homes, why
would content providers flip sides?
Sony doesn't have 'players' they have one player annouced - at $1,000
(pre-order now!).
Oh, but perhaps you are thinking of the Pioneer Elite? Or the Samsung? Or
the Sharp? Or the LG? Or the Panasonic?
Of course, it could be the Toshiba... or the Toshiba... or the Toshiba...
or ... wait... am I repeating myself?
;o) Really - instead of arguing, why not give it 6 months and actually see
how things turn out?
>>All of which is why the Sony players will cost $1500 and the Toshiba
>>players will cost $500. Advantage: Toshiba.
