Actually one of the expectations with the PS3 delay is that it may be the
first Blu-ray player - or any HD disc player - to support HDMI 1.3.

But, I'm not arguing your point at all - which is why I am NOT getting a
first generation player, but will get a PS3. Heck, I'll get the PS3
regardless just cuz' games are fun, and HD gaming is killer.
