Nero will do the job. I have problems converting Mpeg files and usually lose
the sound. AVI's convert fine. Can take from 3-9 hours to make a TV DVD.
Additionally, you will most likely need to burn to DVD-R as that is the
standard, in theUS, for DVD's. A "play-all" DVD should be able to play
anything burned to DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW etc. The plus of taking the
time to burn to a regular DVD is that it would be playable on just about any
newer DVD if you use the -R type discs. You also need about 6-9 Gigs of free
hard disk storage as a working space for the program to do the conversion.
