Good to hear. I also have an unused HDMI connector on my JVC RPTV.

The player does PAL which is a bonus in itself.

I am already of the opinion that I shall be sitting out the HD wars
until there is a clear winner, such as the consumer. It is unclear to
me when, or even if, content worthy of HD will make it to that format.
Of the titles announced so far, there is only a handful that I would
want to collect. The Oppo appears to be able to make the waiting more
bearable.
