The best reason to use the FX-1 is to live-switch multiple cameras to
tape while an event is going on, to save you the time of importing
clips from multiple cameras and editing them to "look" like they were
live-switched in your NLE application. The FX-1 would let you live
switch something like 2-3 cameras at a business meeting, and send the
mixed video to a large screen for the audience to see. if you don't
need such things, or don;t ened to save time that badly, save your
money and just use your computer NLE system for everything.
