Don't confuse RGB with component as they are not the same thing. Your AV4
sounds like RGB input with separate sync lines which is the same as the
output from a PC. This differs from AV RGB where the sync signals are on the
green lead I think which it may well support.
Component is actually a luminence and sync on one wire plus a red and blue
on the other two. Green is derived from the Red and Blue signals.
