This should read:
"Not all Blu-ray players will be compatible with CDs per current specs."
Blu-ray players are not required to play CDs back, and it appears that some
won't as of right now. I agree that this sucks... On the other hand,
that's what I use my music server for.
I can definitely see how this will affect some Blu-ray sales from some
vendors.
But, isn't it nice that there are multiple vendors and as of right now, the
FIRST player to market it scheduled to include CD playback?
It is likely that other vendors will do this as well.

Blu-Ray players are not compatible with CDs, though they are compatible
with DVDs.
