The Pioneer DVR-111D is the most current model, and can be had for
about $36 online.
The Pioneer is a drop slower than the BenQ, but also has more stable
recording characteristics and is less picky about discs. Google around
for reviews if you want to read for yourself.

I'd buy the Pioneer.
