From what I can see, you can also flash the 111D so that it supports writing
to DVD-RAM discs (a la 111)... it does make you wonder why anyone would
bother paying the extra for the 111 when the 111D is the same drive but with
a firmware revision that has DVD-RAM deactivated...
I've also heard rumours that it's possible to flash the 111D so that it
supports all the same features as the 111L including LightScribe and
QuietDrive...
