It says on the bottom of the unit how many watts it draws from
the AC line. It will probably be under 150W, maybe as little as
40W, or more or less one or two light bulbs' equiv.

Most extension cords handle about 1200 W so anything will do.
But don't buy crap, since they're pretty cheap to begin with.
You can get a 50 foot long one and not give it another thought
(well, except for avoiding tripping over it).
