The PD170 is a slightly more refined PD-150. Peerless low light
performance, less noisey audio section, finer steps on the iris, er two tone
colour scheme.
Records the images with that tell-tale "Sony" look. Always cuts nicely with
Sony's large format DVCAMs and DigiBeta cameras. But problematic if you are
cutting with other manufacturers' looks as you pointed out.
A fine camera.
