They probably aren't easily listenable because of dropouts, but they're
likely to be salvageable if they're worth the trouble. You can often
get longer segments to play by fiddling with the tracking control on
the VCR, or in worse cases, chasing around with the drum alignment. Try
it enough times and you'll probably get every segment of the program
played. Then allyagottadois paste them together in your DAW and burn a
CD (that'll be good for at least another ten years <g>).
